• Welcome to Bali

Because we have to be offshore from Australia for the whole visa application process, we had to find a place that is both cheap to live and interesting to visit. We chose Bali, and we already know it was the right call.

After a smooth 2.5-hour flight from Singapore, we landed in Denpasar. Immigration was quick, but the baggage claim turned into a bit of a challenge. We had some trouble finding both our backpacks and went on a "wild goose chase" around the airport. For a second, we actually thought one of them had been stolen, but luckily we tracked them both down and could finally head out.

Our Airbnb host was nice enough to pick us up from the airport. He was super sweet, had some water ready for us in the back seat, and even offered to stop for snacks on the way.
After a two-hour drive, we arrived at the Airbnb and got a quick tour of the place. On the way there, our host had casually mentioned in the car that the German rapper Cro lives on the island and is building a resort nearby. What we didn't expect was that he is actually our direct neighbor. Such a cool coincidence!

So now we’re just hanging out here until our visas get approved. Get ready for some relaxed and chill photos over the next couple of days.
