    Lake Tekapo

    5.–7. feb., New Zealand ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

A journey north eastwards, first following the Kawarau river and its gorge, then on the Lindis Pass Alpine Highway, the Canterbury plain and past the McKenzie lakes. Lake Pukaki afforded great views of Mount Cook and the Southern Alps.

Great vistas along the route as usual. Our destination for two nights was the Lakeside Campsite at Lake Tekapo - a place nicely located on the lake shore with a high chill factor.

ReisendeOn the news this week they said January was the coolest for 8 years! Well, it seemed pretty warm to me. It's been great weather for your trip.
