Bath

From Lacock we travelled to Bath, were the Romans built traditional Roman baths on the site of a natural hot springs. More interesting was the commentary from our Tour guide about the history of Bath and its nature as the "Las Vegas" of its time in the 1800's where the rich and famous would bring their families to vacation and marry off their daughters for wealth or power. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Baths_(Bath) Apparently Jane Austen's life was linked to Bath and the society there during her time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_AustenLeggi altro
