Arrived Hyderabad early in the morning. Took about 2 hours to transit immigration and collect bags. It was surprising how alive the city was at this time of day. Transferred from Airport to our hotel.

Qutb Shahi Tombs

Visited the Qutb Shahi Tombs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qutb_Shahi_tombs which was interesting as they were built 400-500 years ago for the burial of the kings of Hyderabad.

It was explained that this building and its pool served as a treasury. The valuables (gold, etc.) would be placed in the chambers at the bottom and then it would be filled with water as a barrier.
