Restos arqueológicos Teatro romano

Once a week, on Saturdays at 10am, the archeologist of Guadix, Antonio López, shows his passion as he takes interested visitors around the excavation site of the Roman Theatre. We were in a small group of 4 people, which made the interaction even more interesting.

I can't condense 2 hours of explanations into a paragraph, but Antonio showed us the issues the Romans had when building this theatre, and how the project evolved. Very interesting!

We spent the remainder of the day walking around Guadix, looking at various monuments, walking into Mudéjar style churches, and we had some great views from the Mirador de la Magdalena.Read more
