Good day in south of Portugal. Unlike yesterday, it started with easy trails and then diverted to the south western coast which is again beyond stunning. In a way, just doing TET Portugal one would miss quite a few highlights. I could easily see myself getting a house on the Atlantic coast. I have not seen many other more spectacular places place to live.

Yesterday was a tough day with demanding terrain especially due the wet & muddy conditions often mixed with clay and deep sand. Gave me a good workout and way too many "oh shit" moments. Worked out well. Can't say the same about a Norwegian group of riders which required emergency rescue services due to a simple fall, breaking one's leg. Wish them a safe return and recovery! One should not underestimate the potential diasaster that can happen in a split of a second. I really try to be sensible and turn around when I feel things could get too ugly.

Tomorrow, I hope to finish the Portuguese TET and cross back into Spain, hoping for positive news about ferries to Morocco starting in April 1st.

Anyways, a great day but I will only feel a true winner when I get hugs from my wife and kids back home!
