    Day 1 - Arrival

    May 11 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

We arrived in Ibiza a little after 3 PM after a slight delay and headed straight to Sixt to pick up our rental car for the next few days. Since check-in was open, we drove directly to the hotel. The weather could not have been better — bright blue skies, sunshine, and warm temperatures all around.

Our hotel has the most incredible view, complete with its own secluded beach area. After settling in, we went out for tacos that were surprisingly affordable — some cost only €1! We spent the evening strolling around the marina, grabbed a McFlurry on the way back, and ended the day relaxing at the hotel.

  • Day 2 - Exploring the Island

    May 12 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

We started the day with breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, which is actually located about a five-minute walk away from the main building. The walk was absolutely worth it — the restaurant overlooks a beautiful view, and the breakfast buffet had a great variety to choose from.

After breakfast, we got ready and set out with one goal in mind: to explore as much of the island as possible. We ended up driving around almost the entire island that day. After a few hours on the road, we stopped at a Chinese restaurant for a quick bite before continuing our adventure.

The rest of the day was spent driving through different parts of the island, stopping for photos, and exploring the surroundings along the way. The weather changed constantly throughout the drive — one moment it was sunny, then cloudy, then suddenly rainy — which somehow made the scenery feel even more dramatic and beautiful.

  • Day 3 - Dalt Vila & Old Town

    May 13 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

After breakfast, we headed to Ibiza Old Town to explore the city and hopefully do a little shopping along the way.

Our first stop was Dalt Vila. The walk up felt like a small hike, mostly because of the heat, but it was completely worth it. At the top, we were rewarded with stunning viewpoints overlooking Ibiza, making the climb unforgettable. Of course, we spent plenty of time taking photos before making our way back down into the city.

We wandered through the streets for a while, exploring shops, and I ended up picking up a few things at Oysho. While walking around, we came across Malvón — the same empanada place we had absolutely loved in Porto — so naturally we had to buy a few empanadas for later. 🥟

After spending a few hours in the old town, we continued driving around the island before eventually heading back to the hotel. For dinner, we finally visited the Indian restaurant we had tried to go to the day before. This time, we made sure to reserve a table in advance — and it was definitely worth it.

  • Day 4 & 5

    May 14–15 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

On day 4, we had two missions: visit a hippie market and go for a swim. We started with the first mission and set off in search of one of Ibiza’s famous hippie markets. Even though there are many markets across the island, they all operate on different days, mostly on weekends. Unfortunately, the one we planned to visit turned out to be closed.

Instead, we headed to Ibiza Town, where we wandered through the charming streets and little boutiques — and of course bought our mandatory souvenir magnet. Later, we returned to the hotel and finally went for a swim.

In the evening, we drove to Time and Space, where we watched a beautiful sunset. To end the night perfectly, we had amazing burgers and cheesecake at Can Garage.

Day 5 was already our last day. We checked out of the hotel around noon and spent the remaining hours driving around the island one last time before heading to the airport. It was very rainy that day, but luckily we had already visited all the spots on our list during the previous days.

Over the five days, we drove almost 680 kilometres around the island!
