Day 1 - Arrival

After a slight delay, we finally arrived in Prague at around 3 p.m. Without wasting any time, we ordered a Bolt taxi and headed straight to our hotel.

We stayed at Hotel President, which immediately made a great first impression. The lobby was beautiful, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful design details throughout the hotel, such as the stylish mirrors by the elevators. It's often the small touches that make a place feel special.

After settling in and taking some time to relax, we headed out for dinner. We chose Hoxton Burgers and were not disappointed. The burgers were delicious, the fries were perfectly crispy, and the overall experience was excellent. One feature that really stood out was a button at each table that allowed guests to call a waiter whenever needed. It was a concept we had never encountered before and found surprisingly convenient.

Following dinner, we decided to take a leisurely stroll through the city. Unfortunately, our walk was cut short when the weather suddenly changed and heavy rain began pouring down. We searched for somewhere to take shelter and wait for the worst of it to pass, but by then we were already completely soaked. Despite having both an umbrella and rain jackets, the downpour proved too much.

Eventually, we made our way back to the hotel, dripping wet and hoping that our clothes and shoes would be dry again by the next morning. It wasn't quite how we had imagined ending our first day in Prague, but it certainly made for a memorable start to the trip.Read more

Day 2 (I/II) - 28'000 steps!

We woke up early, eager to explore as much of Prague as possible. After the previous evening's downpour, we were hoping for better weather. Fortunately, the day turned out to be a mix of everything—rain showers, cloudy skies, and beautiful stretches of sunshine. The constantly changing conditions gave the city a different atmosphere throughout the day and made every moment feel unique.

Our second day in Prague was packed with sightseeing. By the end of the day, we had walked nearly 30,000 steps. We visited countless monuments, statues, and many of the city's most famous attractions. What impressed us most, however, was Prague's incredible architecture. Everywhere we looked, there were stunning buildings, intricate details, and picturesque streets. It truly felt like every corner of the city was worthy of a photograph.

Around 10 a.m., we started searching for a place to have brunch and eventually ended up at Monk. We ordered avocado toast and blueberry pancakes, both of which were delicious and gave us the perfect energy boost for a long day of exploring.

Day 2 (II/II) - 28'000 steps!

We started the day by making our way up to Prague Castle 🏰, where we were rewarded with a breathtaking view over the city. Seeing Prague's iconic red rooftops stretching into the distance was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.

Afterwards, we headed to see the famous rotating head of Franz Kafka 🌀. It's such a unique piece of art and fascinating to watch as the individual layers continuously shift and realign. Since Cinnamood was right around the corner, we couldn't resist stopping for a cinnamon roll 🥐. Sometimes sightseeing simply requires a sweet treat!

Just a short walk away was Levels, a huge multi-storey gaming and entertainment centre 🎮. We decided to pop in for a quick look and were immediately impressed by the creative interior design. The entire venue felt fun, colorful, and completely different from anything we had seen before. That playful and artistic approach to design seemed to be a recurring theme throughout Prague.

Of course, no visit to Prague would be complete without trying some local food. Prague is known for its dumplings made from potato dough, so we headed to Knedlin to give them a try 🍽️. It was a great opportunity to experience a traditional Czech specialty.

In the evening, we went to Cantina for dinner and enjoyed some delicious Mexican food 🌮. We started by sharing quesadillas before ordering tacos, accompanied by a refreshing mojito 🍹. The restaurant had a lively and authentic atmosphere that made for a great dining experience. One thing to note: they only accepted cash! Luckily, that wasn't a problem since they conveniently had an ATM right inside the restaurant.

After dinner, we took advantage of the clear skies and spent some time wandering through the city, taking countless photos 📸. Prague looked absolutely magical at night, and with the rain finally gone, the city seemed to shine even brighter.

We had originally planned to end the evening at Green Flamingo Absinth Bar after finding it online. Although we were seated, the atmosphere felt a little strange and the drink selection wasn't quite what we expected, so we decided to leave before ordering anything.

Instead, we continued exploring and eventually arrived at the Astronomical Clock ⏰, which looked even more impressive illuminated at night. By then it was already around 11 p.m., so we decided to head back to the hotel and finish the evening with a drink at the rooftop bar 🍸 while enjoying the views over Prague one last time.Read more

Day 3 - National Museum & Dog Café

By our third day in Prague, we were definitely feeling the effects of all the exploring and walking from the previous days. We also hadn't been getting much sleep, so a slower-paced day was exactly what we needed. Fortunately, the weather seemed to agree with our plans—it turned out to be the rainiest and grayest day of our trip. ☔

We started the day by visiting the National Museum, and we were absolutely amazed by its interior. The architecture, grand staircases, and intricate details made it feel more like a palace than a museum. It was easily one of the most beautiful buildings we visited during our stay. 🏛️

Later, we stopped by the famous Dancing House, one of Prague's most recognizable modern landmarks. We also visited (A)void Café, which has one of the most unique entrances we've ever seen. The café's door is a giant circular glass panel that only opens when specific sensors are activated, making the entire experience feel futuristic and a little mysterious. 🚪✨

By 2:30 p.m., we were absolutely starving. We had barely eaten or even had much to drink throughout the day, so we headed to Namo Buddha for a late lunch. The meal was exactly what we needed after a busy morning and gave us some much-needed energy. 🍜

Afterwards, we visited Yorkmute Café, a dog café with a concept unlike any other we've encountered. Instead of having a variety of dogs, the café hosts 5–7 dogs of the same breed each day, and visitors can check the schedule online in advance. The dogs come from certified breeders, and the entire café is beautifully decorated with elegant green and gold accents. 🐶💚✨

On the day we visited, there were around seven Pekingese dogs. With their long coats, expressive faces, and funny personalities, they were incredibly entertaining to watch and interact with. It quickly became one of the most memorable experiences of the trip.

Feeling tired after a full day of sightseeing, we decided to return to the hotel for a while and relax before heading back out in the evening.

We had planned to do a bit of shopping, so around 8 p.m. we made our way to Palladium Shopping Centre. We had seen that the complex was open until 10 p.m. and were excited to explore the many shops and food courts. Unfortunately, we quickly discovered that while the mall itself stayed open until 10 p.m., most of the stores closed at 9 p.m. As a result, we didn't get a chance to visit all the shops we had hoped to see. 🛍️

To end the day, we kept things simple and grabbed McDonald's for dinner. 🍔 Sometimes, after a long day of sightseeing, a familiar meal is exactly what you need before calling it a night.Read more

Day 4 - Last day
June 13 in Czech Republic ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C
On our final day in Prague, we still had a few places left on our list. However, with the weather changing constantly between sunshine, clouds, and rain, we decided to skip some of the activities that were best enjoyed in good weather and instead kept our plans flexible. 🌦️

We visited the Grotta and spent some time exploring a nearby food festival. The atmosphere was lively, and it was a great way to soak up a little more of the city's local culture before heading home. 🎪🍴

Later, we stopped at Café Chloe for a bite to eat. The food was absolutely delicious, and the café itself was beautiful. With its charming interior and relaxed atmosphere, it was the perfect place to slow down and enjoy our last few hours in Prague. ☕✨

Before we knew it, it was already time to head back to the hotel to collect our luggage. We ordered another Bolt taxi and made our way to the airport. As always, we couldn't resist doing a little last-minute shopping, so we spent some time browsing the duty-free stores and picked up a few perfumes before our flight. ✈️🛍️

And just like that, our long weekend in Prague came to an end. From stunning architecture and incredible food to unexpected rainstorms and unforgettable experiences, the city exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Prague is a destination we'll remember for a long time—and one we would happily visit again. ❤️🇨🇿Read more
