    We got our steps in today, again!

    Not to be stopped by the unpredictable weather, we walked….a lot… again today! My feet are going to thank me when we finally leave Edinburgh with a car! So many cool things to see in this city. We finished our day with St Giles Cathedral! Founded in 1124 by King David I, it has been a working church for almost 900 years! In 1559, the church became Protestant with John Knox, the foremost figure of the Scottish Reformation, as its minister. After the Reformation, St Giles' was internally partitioned to serve multiple congregations as well as secular purposes, such as a prison and as a meeting place for the Parliament of Scotland.Read more
