• Going-to-the-Sun Road (1 of 4)

    2. Juni 2019 in den USA ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

Completed in 1932, Going-to-the-Sun Road is the only road that traverses Glacier National Park. Due to heavy snowfall and avalanches, most of the Road is closed between mid-October and mid-June. This was the case during our trip to the Park. Although the mid-portion of the Road was closed to vehicular traffic, foot and bike traffic was allowed to a certain point. We took the opportunity to hike out a couple miles to see beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.Weiterlesen
