Smugglers Notch

Today was what I expected. Tough climb up Whiteface Mt, then Madonna Mt. Madonna is where the Smugglers Notch ski area is. Part of the trail goes up a ski trail. I got to the Sterling Pond Shelter at around 4pm and I think 8 miles. I found out hikers can stay in the ski lodge down the trail a bit. Good thing because the wind is howling and it will rain hard tonight. Nice in here. Tomorrow I am staying at a B&B in Jeffersonville to wait out the rain before trying to get over Mt Mansfield. That's the tallest one in VT. I need to rest for that one. That first picture is the top of Smugs. Got to try to ski it someday.Läs mer
