Killington Peak

Nick and I were on the top of Killington at around noon. Real easy climb. We heard a humming noise coming from behind the woods a bit downhill. We checked it out to find the K1 gondola running. I guess it is for the mountain bikers. We hopped on for a spin. The top of Killington is loaded with antennas. View was OK. I was well rested from my zero day (no miles) at the Inn. Ken and Muriel showed up at around 5pm, and we took a ride into Rutland to pick up some food we need to get us to Manchester. Back at the Inn we had dinner (Ken paid, thanks), and finished it off with a nice Irish Whiskey. Had breakfast, and we were hiking at around 9am. Short day...10 miles, and easy.Read more
