Aufstehen mit Blick auf die Berge, sehr schön. Dann der ernüchternde Blick auf den Wetterbericht ... Die Alpen werden in den nächsten Tagen von einer Unwetterfront überrollt werden. Da macht Motorrad fahren keinen Spaß, und Campen schon gar nicht. Die wirklich schönen Tage haben wir durch die Gaskabel-bedingte Zwangspause verpasst, jetzt bleibt uns nichts anderes übrig als nach Süden zu fliehen.

Also geht's rüber nach Italien über den Grand Saint Bernard Pass, durch das Aostatal und über die mit Wein und Haselnuss bevölkerten Hügel des Piemont.

Getting up with a view of the mountains, very beautiful. Then the sobering look at the weather report... The Alps will be overrun by a storm front in the next few days. Motorcycling is no fun when it rains, and neither is camping. We missed the really nice days due to the gas cable-related forced break, now we have no choice but to flee south.

So we are off to Italy over the Grand Saint Bernard Pass, through the Aosta Valley and over the wine and hazelnut covered hills of Piemont.
