Wrong turn & lucky escape

On our way to Park Sathorn Restaurant, I mistakenly followed Google Maps into a restricted road where two-wheelers weren’t allowed. The traffic police immediately called us back. The first thing they asked for was our license—specifically an international driving permit for tourists. We showed them the FIR from Phi Phi, explaining that our license and IDP were stolen (even though I never actually had an IDP). Luckily, they let us go without any trouble.Read more
