Frank and Ellie took the Ferry to the island for a day trip today, to celebrate Mother's Day.
A driving tour of the island, a stop at the Southeast Lighthouse on top of Mohegan Bluff.

Nice easy bike ride this morning, only about 10 miles. Several stops for sight seeing.
Mohegan Bluffs is awesome, but walking back up the stairs is a workout.

Hike along Clay Head Bluffs

A 2+ mile hike along the top of the bluffs.
Hike to Rodman Hollow

A little more than 9 kilometer walk to Rodman Hollow headlands, more stunning cliffs. Walked just a fraction of the Island's extensive Greenway Trail network.
Bike & Hike to North Lighthouse.

Bike ride to the north end of the island road, the about 1.5 km walk to the North Lighthouse and the northern point of the island.

Went a walk near our lodgings for the week, wound up at the Island Cemetery, then another short segment of the Greenway trails.
Found a lot of Celtic Crosses today!
Beach Walk and more Clay Head Cliffs
