Puerto Iguazú, Nasenbären

Die Fälle gibt es nicht ohne die Nasenbären, auch Rüsselbären genannt. Die sind an jeder Raststation in den Parks zu finden. Überall hängen Schilder, die Viecher nicht zu füttern, da sie natürlich auch mal in Menschenhände beissen - aber sie sind schlau genug, trotzdem an Futter zu kommen. Mal ist es ein süsser Augenaufschlag, mal ein beherztes Zugreifen im richtigen Moment. Sie erinnern sehr an unsere Waschbären, die Nase bewegt sich wie ein kleiner Rüssel. Kaum einer sieht abgehärmt aus, alle haben schönes flauschiges Fell von Orange über Braun bis fast Schwarz. Dazu diese gestreiften Schwänze, die beim Laufen immer nach oben gehen wie Antennen. Eine Augenweide, bis sie dann mal anfangen, sich laut quietschend um Futter zu streiten, dann stoben die Touris auch ganz schnell zur Seite, denn das ist ein Mordslärm.

The falls don't exist without the coatis. They can be found at every rest stop in the parks.
