    We crossed the Mississippi River and entered Michigan on July 25th, staying in the town of Curtis in the Upper Peninsula. While there we went to Munising for a boat cruise to view Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore along Lake Superior. It’s one of three national lakeshores and known for the colorful rocks that have copper, iron and magnesium. We also learned about Lake Superior; it’s 3 times the size of Manhattan and over 1,000 feet deep.Read more
