After a gentle walk up to the castle and a adventure playground we had lunch around the harbour (prawns again for finlay), we took a boat trip out to the ww2 forts off the coast and then to huge offshore windfarm . The forts were built to provide AA gun platforms to give some protection to the Thames estuary from German bombers going into London docklands. Afterwards some time on the beach and later dinner in a really good tapas bar at the end of our street.Read more
