More museums

So this morning we went back to the archaeological museum to finish the stuff we didn't do yesterday. We skipped the Islamic period and more modern Christian bits, and spent two hours in the roman, visigoth and Egyptian sections. Afterwards we went to the Museo Thyssen Bornemisza, which is a huge art gallery, and had a couple of hours doing about half of it , from the 13th century up to impressionist, with a bit of twenty century modern art thrown in. It's a really good museum, but strangely few highlight pieces, and in the end we'd had enough and gave up.Read more
