The final day (on the island)

Our final day on Newfoundland 😞
In 2021 a friend of Bailey’s relocated to Corner Brook for work. That’s a long way from home, friends and family so I figured we should connect and check in to see how he was doing (it’s a Mom thing to do!)
We had a great breakfast with Connor who told us all about his work on the new hospital and even took us up to the site and drove us around so we could see it - very impressive! He definitely has a very bright future with PCL but I’m sure he will be happy to come home when the project is finished 🙃
After hitting the grocery store to buy a few items that you can only get on The Rock we headed for our final bucket list destination - Rose Blanche lighthouse.
Once again completely blown away by the geography of the island! The landscape as we travelled the winding road to Rose Blanche was what I would expect to see in Scotland or Ireland maybe - gently rolling hillocks with small water filled burns and occasional rushing water courses - it was magical.
It was a foggy, windy day for our trip to the lighthouse but I think it added the perfect back drop. The reconstructed lighthouse at Rose Blanche is stunning 😍 Certainly one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen.Read more
