An early start - our daughter picked us up at 5:40 for a lift into Cambridge for our train to Stansted. Chilly on the platform, the unaccustomed weight of the backpack feeling heavy. We will have to get used to that!

Stansted Airport - our bags dropped, fast tracked through security and 18 minutes later we were in the departure lounge. Next stop breakfast - an egg and bacon breakfast muffin and tea we are set up. In no time our gate is announced and we stroll over to await boarding.

An uneventful flight which took about 2:20 hrs, second off the plane and through passport control in record time.
