After the usual breakfast chores we drove over to see Fort Stevens itself. While we waited for the truck tour to begin, we got to spend some time with Civil War reenactors from the Minnesota 1st.

While I talked family history with an older guy, Franklin enjoyed being shown a rifle demonstration. The actual shot the soldier fired was quite loud!Read more
