Montgomery Reef

WOW...what a totally mind blowing experience to witness Montgomery Reef. We left Raft Pt @ 5.30am on the tide...sideways 🤪 with speed over ground 8-9knts/ speed through water 2-3knts. Bl3ssed with a stunning day...glass off, 🐋 & 🌞. We ⚓️ near a sand bar 🏝, drop dingy & out exploring within minutes... bloody amazing. The water rushes off the reef with so much power it's like travelling up rapids. Lots of laughs, 🐢 🐢 🐢, a few monster 🐙 & 2 cruise 🚢 . Before returning to Raft Pt we chill & swim @ sandbar 🏝.... love it but it disappeared uderwater too quick 😀. Either side of Reef day we explored Raft Pt area....winding creeks, massive Boabs, 1st beach 🔥 but 😔 not much luck with 🎣. We definately need to google how to fish here??? On return from hike the SV ⛵️ collective found all 3 dinghies high & dry...lucky there was enough 💪 💪 to lift them off beach...good wake up call as it would have been a long, dark wait for the water to return.
