My best Elizabeth Bennett imitation

Had to climb a fence on our walk around Dover Castle to catch a glimpse of the White Cliffs. Seeing the fence, my mind raced to a scene from Pride and Prejudice when Elizabeth Bennett climbs over the fence only to jump into a mud puddle. And her skirts, petticoat and boots covered in mud. No mud today, or long skirt with a muddy hem. But I was in the English countryside, in the shadows of a castle, reinacting a scene from one of my Jane Austin favourites. A dream come true.Read more
