Day trip to Bribie Island

Went to Bribie Island for a day trip as Steven, Lizanne and Keradyn were up here. Steven in particular was itching for a long beach drive so we set off to the fort at the end of the island, the North side. Stopped for lunch and a bit of a break on the way back. Tides were high early morning so we drove in on an incoming tide, always nerve wrecking, even more so as these were particularly high tides. Needless to say the ladies were not impressed with our timing.
We have never seen so much activity with checking permits / speeding / breathalyser etc, probably because the Easter weekend. Two loads of rangers stopped to check our permits and then we were stopped again by the police on the way out. RBT but not drugs! and they also asked to see our permits.Læs mere
