Bacalar

It's windy in Mahahual, but Norberto (best kite rental ever) is in Cancun, so we try to scuba dive in the reef. We gear up, head to the boat with wetsuits on, meet the captain, mount the gear on the tanks and ... the captain gets a call: boats are not allowed outside the port any more. Dives are cancelled, we head back to the school to give the gear back.
So unfortunately, thefrogandthebike have to drive 100km south to the lake/cenotes of Bacalar to eat the most tasty vegetarian Tacos with an amazing view on the lagoon. Instead of a dive boat on the reef, we find ourselves taking a tour on a turquoise water lake with an alcoholic couple, a Mexican family with overweight kids and a dog afraid of water.Read more
