Day 6: Carl “Reefer Engineer” On Patrol

We met Carl from Norway yesterday in the Explorers lounge on deck 8. Today, while waiting to embark on Deck 1 - Carl was on his morning patrol checking the entire ship’s humidity levels. Looking for visual signs of condensation, as well as, using his own senses to ensure we are; Not to cold - Not to hot - that we are - Just right.

The waiters, our room stewards, and our bartenders are all pretty much much customer facing staff. They get all the glory.

Being a retired IT person from 25 years at Yale - I know what it is like to be behind the scenes.

So, tonight when you tuck yourself in bed - say a “Good night and thank you” to Carl and all the other behind the scenes Viking Neptune Staff who are keeping us feeling “Just right.”
