Rhodes Day 1

It was a bit overcast and cool this morning, but we needed to research petrol and Coca Cola purchases. We expected Rhodes to be better equipped than Hobhouse, but it isn't. Petrol can be bought by the 10l can from one of the residents and we never did find large bottles of Coke.
Haven't tried the Spaza shop yet - they're bound to have it 😉
We did some birding and admired the scenery and took photos.
Rhodes is much more prosperous than Hobhouse but still has its share of derelict houses. Guess it comes to life with its 'Feeste".
Pictures: Down by the riverside (the Bell river); the hill climbing out of the river - oh to be 50 years younger! The Rhodes Hotel is for sale: it's a beautiful Victorian building but will need lots of $$$$ to fix 😟もっと詳しく
