Relaxing in Kyoto

Our weather has been perfect here in Kyoto, cool in the morning for great hiking and sunny and warm for afternoon relaxing.

We checked out the Inari Shrine and took about a 2 hour hike around the surrounding bamboo forest! Very pretty arch ways and peaceful forests, even though the shrine was very busy.

After walking around most of the morning we regrouped at the house before having a beautiful lunch on the canal/river. Our set meal included an adorable bento box of goodies, tempura, and udon. Extremely full after the two hours of lunch, we spent the evening relaxing at the house, having a nice bath in the outdoor tub, and napping.

Igs and I tried out the local McDonald's for a small dinner as we were too tired and too full to partake in a full sit down dinner 😅 I got the Teriyaki Mcdouble and Igor got the Samurai Big Mac. Pretty good but I probably wouldn't order again. Czytaj więcej
