The friendliest town we've visited so far! The main street had Christmas carols and public announcements blaring through loud speakers mounted high on the power poles. Highlights - Ballandean Winery tour and of course the wine tasting, Golden Grove Winery, Granite Belt Brewery, Heavenly Chocolate, Suttons Apple Farm, Jam Works, Stanthorpe Cheese, and Castle Glen Liqueurs. Hail Storms are a constant threat to the vineyards, apple orchids etc with most apple orchids installing hectares of hail netting as protection. So far we have managed to dodge them.
