    First trip to Newfoundland in the summer! Saw my mom and did some day hikes, went to a nice swimming hole at La Manche, spent a night downtown.

    Good to be home!

    Went to the hilariously named town of Dildo, Newfoundland to visit the brewery for lunch, delicious mussels and beer!

    Port Rexton

    Went camping in Port Rexton for 3 nights. We saw a puffin colony, some gorgeous coastline at Bonavista, which is where they think John Cabot landed first in the 1400s. We could see whales from the shore!

    Back to my home town to see some family for the first time in way too long! What a wonderful visit! The hospitality is unbelievably and we felt so at home.

    We got out on a dory for a trip around Cox's cove, unfortunately the travel tracker didn't work that day. Would have loved to see that map.

    Gros Morne National Park

    Visited the stunning Gros Morne today. Went for a coastal trail walk, visited a lighthouse, had seafood lunch by the docks in Norris point and a did the Bonne Bay boat tour.

    We learned the Tableland mountains are continuous with Coxs Cove, which is where we did the dory tour with my family friend. Very interesting!Read more

    St Johns Again

    2 days back in the city before heading home to Alberta. It's been a great trip visiting family and seeing the island.

    Always hard to leave Mom behind. Happy to have been able to spend some time. She and her boyfriend Bill and have been so good to me and it's been a lot of fun visiting, camping, drinking and laughing. Will miss them for sure.
