    Fernando de Noronha

    Fernando de Noronha is one of the most picturesque, naturally beautiful place we've ever seen. It's a volcanic archipelago off the coast of Brazil near Recife.

    It was absolutely stunning everywhere you looked, with gorgeous turquoise water, clean, secluded beaches, and it was not at all busy. It felt like we could have had any beach we wanted to ourselves.

    It was extremely hot, punishingly humid, but we powered through every day to make the most of our short time in such a beautiful place.

    The seas didn't cooperate with us, however. The wave surges were quite large, to the point they shut down the port, and snorkeling was pretty much a no-go on all but one beach most days.

    We didn't let that stop us, though. We hiked, we did manage some time snorkeling and some incredibly gorgeous beaches, and generally spent our week exploring the island - by foot, and by dune buggy.

    We really wanted to scuba dive here, but it just wasn't in the cards with the sea conditions, but that's OK! We had a marvelous time! We saw sharks come right up to the beach, we even saw a huge tiger shark chasing a turtle from the shoreline. We are happy to say the turtle got away!

    Almost every local we met asked us how we heard about Noronha. It's not very common to have foreign tourists here, we think. It feels a lot like Brazils best-kept secret.

    We were also treated to an incredible breakfast every day by our lovely hosts, which was enough food we were even able to make our lunches and be set all day. It was a nice treat!

    We were able to enjoy a nice full-moon party on our last night, and we were absolutely exhausted from walking around the heat all week, but it was absolutely worth it!

    This place is amazing, gorgeous, clean, and calm, and we feel extremely privileged to have been able to visit this Brazillian marvel.    Okumaya devam et

    Maragogi

    Maragogi is a Brazillian vacation spot known for its warm shallow water, long beaches, and 'The Path of Moses.'

    It's about a kilometer long sandbar that appears at low tide and turns into a huge Brazilian-style beach party! Floating bar boats line up, serving Capirinhas, beer, and of course, they all have a barbecue going, serving grilled kabobs!

    There are ice cream men wading around with their floating coolers, people selling waterproof cases, shrimp, lobster, photos, sunglasses, and all your typical beach fare.

    We went out a couple of times and had a great time sipping our Caipirinhas in the knee-deep water, soaking up the sun and dancing.

    Anna went scuba diving here, and we relaxed by the pool at our little cabana we rented. It was a great, relaxing stop!    Okumaya devam et

    Porto de Galinhas

    Another day, another Brazillian beach town, with gorgeous blue water, soft sand, hot weather, and more great company.

    Not a whole lot to say otherwise, the beaches were great, our pace was slow, and our BnB was lovely.

    Highlight here was probably meeting a local shop owner, Marcus. We went in to try some Cachaça, a brazillian sugar cane liqour, and ended up staying a lot longer than we had intended.

    He shared music, taught us to play Brazillian samba and Capoeira rhythms on the tambourine, and showed around his bar, which is still under construction but going to be a great spot!

    We had a lot of fun even though none of us spoke each other's language! We managed to get a few points across, but most of all it showed us that love knows no language. It was a beautiful experience and we leave a bit of our hearts with this man.    Okumaya devam et

    São Paulo

    São Paulo.

    Our last stop on this amazing adventure!

    We hadn't originally planned to come here, but all of our flights home left from here, and we had met some friends along the way from São Paulo that covinced it would be a good time!

    The primary attraction here was the food! 'Rodizio' is a Brazillian style of serving all you can eat, where they keep coming around to the table offering everything they have on hand, and it did not disappoint!

    They have the largest Japanese community outside of Japan, so the sushi was a must, and it was marvelous!

    We also had a traditional Brazillian dish called feijoada. Originally a slave food, it has been adopted by Brazillian culture at large, and it is a type of stew served over rice with pork and beans. We thought it was just ok, but we're very happy we tried it!

    And then, we had the Brazillian barbecue.

    Served rodizio style. They had 18 cuts of meat and an amazing salad bar. It was absolutely one of, if not the best thing we had to eat on the entire trip! It even gave the Argentinian barbecue a run for its money!

    We relaxed by the pool, saw Batman's Alley, visited the huge city park a couple of times, went to a couple of museums, and most of all, here we reminisced about what an incredible adventure had had.

    There were lots of mixed emotions here. Happiness, sadness, but, most of all, immense gratitude for having been to have such an incredible honeymoon together.

    We headed home from here, full of excitement and nervousness for what lay ahead, and full of joy from the experience in South America - the places, the sights, the sounds, the food, the people - all of it was amazing, it exceeded every expectation we had!    Okumaya devam et

    Atlanta

    This was an impromptu stop. Our flight had us on a 10-hour layover here, so we decided to make the most of it!

    We had 10 flight over night to from São Paulo, and we managed to get some rest, so we took a taxi to downtown Atlanta to see the world famous aquarium!

    One of the coolest aquarium tanks on planet Earth! They had a whale shark, giant manta rays, hammerhead sharks, and much, much more!

    We saw a dolphin show, lots of great exhibits, and spent an hour walking around the core.

    Couldn't ask for much of a better layover!

    And with that, our trip is officially complete! Our next stop is Calgary, Alberta, Canada!    Okumaya devam et
