DXNG - Niamtougou, Togo

I'm finding that Snicker Bars are even better currency over BitCoin... but they seem to take both. Had to grease some wheels to get out of the soup that I knew would turn nice soon in route out of DNIB to DNIL (socked int) and then rolling towards DXNG and even chased a C-47 since it seems like ATC missed that one... LOL.
Benin's Tourou Airport is STILL under construction. I think when it's finished it will be awesome and replace the aging Parakou DBBP airport.
Had yet another wierd ATC situation landing in DXNG - Niamtougou International Airport... no tower or infrastructure yet planes coming and going.... Just couldn't get help landing, so I just imagined it was NON-Towered and called each phase over the radio.
Trying to leave DXNG... but had a taxiway standoff, ATC here in Togo, just SUCK. However, while ATC was struggling, watching a Heli pass over me in the taxiway was interesting...then this PERFECT hover and all his exhaust found its way to me.... Open Cockpit no joy.Read more
