The village is on a short (15km, 9.4mile) canal which made a lovely evening walk
The towpath runs between the canal and the banks of the Dordogne riverDordogne river on right. Canal on leftThe Dordogne river seems quite high and is fast flowing.Ducks enjoying an evening waddleSome very old houses along the river bankWe had a pleasant evening walk down the canal towpathVery pretty basin half way down the canal walk, with boat mooredThe Henri Gonthier jig moored in the basinNiska spotted something interesting on the walk (probably a duck)Niska also spotted rabbits. We saw loads of them along the towpath and surrounding fieldsFree motorhome parkup in the village, has all services (water, electric chargeable) except bins.

    Saint Capraise de Lalinde, Dordogne

Our stopover is at the village aire in Saint Capraise de Lalinde. We are a stone's throw from the canal which runs alongside the Dordogne river. We had a lovely evening walk along the canal bank and a chat with a very nice elderly local lady who by chance had a pocket full of dog biscuits ......someone was delighted!
Our aire is provided free once again; we are very grateful to the communities who extend such a warm welcome to travelling visitors.
