Driving-wrong side of road/Air Balloon

It wasn’t bad driving, the hardest part was how the round-a-bouts work, and there are no quick turn arounds. We saw a balloon that reminded us of “Around the World in 80 days”😊

Such an historic place to stay in Windsor. The Castle Hotel. We have beautiful views and cobble stone streets to explore!!!

Boat thrip on the Thames

At one time this river was considered dead because of all the pollution and waste. Now it is very clean. The boys who went to Eaton used to have swimming lessons in the nude.

ViaggiatoreThe castle was huge! Biggest that I have seen. The church was closed, by the time we were leaving. Because of that, we did not get to see all of the burial sights of Englands royals….even King Henry the VII.

Wales, a hidden gem!

The North of Wales, was spectacular. Departed on bus at Holyhead to view the castle. Snowdonia was awe inspiring. Oh, I will not forget my first taste of that special Irish tea. We were sitting out on an open patio, enjoying the quant views if Portmeiron. So colorful, and filled with different types of architecture. The pasta and cake, that Sandra and I ate was scrumptious! We were biting our nail’s during the treacherous turn after leaving Porthmadog at Tanronnen, on or way to the slate railway. The whole town came out to assist😂Leggi altro

Scotland-land of lore, castles and kilts

I’ve been waiting for Scotland, and it did not disappoint me!!! The mountainous land scape filled with lochs and forests that definitely held fairies 🧚‍♀️ at play. Beautiful moss covered trees with mountain fed brooks. The Duke of Argyle (present day) lives in the Inveraray Castle and allows people to tour and Photogragh. Cork/Cohb/Lismore

Docked in Cork/Cohn Ireland, and took a bus ride to Lismore, through several quit villages. Lismore sat on hill with a winding river alongside it. The master piece was the Lismore Castle that set next to the river. This castle is still in use today, and has had many famous people visit its walls.
The current King of England visits often with his friend, the Earl of Lismore. Many famous people have connections to the castle. I will include this in the pictures below.Leggi altro

Let’s just say when the cruise horn blows and your cruise ship captain wants to leave port early….best, “get the hell out a dodge”!
It was confirmed, we went through Cyclone-Betty last night! Yikes! Our captain said he measured 97 mph winds.

Off the ship, bus ride to London

We woke up to the beauty of Dover, and a long sigh, because it is debarkation day and this lovely adventure is almost at an end🥺. We have one more bus ride, one more night in a hotel and it is time to fly home. I will never for get this trip/cruise, it was a bucket list dream come true! London, at Night!

For all those little Princesses out there, that believe in fairy tales and the days of grand ballrooms. There are castles and princes a plenty, all you have to do is believe and go try to find yours☺️. Dreams really do come true, because I just lived one of mine.
I loved London, it is steeped in history. So many old buildings, palaces, statues and stories. It was also pretty clean, as far as big cities go. I would definitely come back!
