• Rhinotastic! Beautiful Chitwan

    7.–10. feb. 2025, Nepal ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

Leaving Pokhara early for the bus was sad but exciting, I was going to see some native wildlife in Chitwan National Park.
After a long but fairly comfortable (Nepal roads to do not lend themselves well to a comfortable journey) I arrived at Sauraha which is located in the national park.
First things first, get to hotel (beautiful place!) and then organise safari! 2 days of hikes, jeep and canoe safari booked.
    Animal sightings:
Rhinoceros's , 2 different types of Crocodiles, spotted dear, hogs and so many amazing birds!
    Tigers and elephants - NONE
The canoe ride was serene and beautiful with amazing birds watching opportunities. The hikes, slightly scary that we could come face to face with any of the animals at any time! Close to all of the Rhino's and the crocodiles, what amazing creatures, a wonderful experience to see them close up.
I were fully aware that there were tigers somewhere in the park, fresh poop and wee marked their spot!
I'm pleased I decided to come to Chitwan! The beauty of being flexible with my travels.
Beautiful scenery and again, just go a few kilometres in a different direction and completely different scenery! Nepal continues to amaze me.
