• The last days of Pokhara

    Feb 5–7, 2025 in Nepal ⋅ ☀️ 18 °C

Two separate footprints, Pokhara, that's how special you are!
Wednesday saw me up early for a hike. I hiked uphill to the World Peace Stupa and the Pumdikot Shiva temple, it was very hot and unfortunately mainly on the road due to me not finding the lovely woodland walk! The end of each hike was worth every bit of sweat! Stunning views and beautiful structures.
I did, however, find the woodland walk down to Pokhara which was outstandingly beautiful and deserted, there will be people reading this that would be open mouthed, it was empty, not one other person, it was so peaceful and not scary in the slightest! You know who you are 😂
Thursday saw a nice chilled start mainly due to my lower limbs not fully working! I walked to the Annapurna Cable car and travelled in style to the Sarangkot View point and the new Ganesh statue!
Caught up with Romeen from MTW who is at a football tournament and finally a lovely Paddle on the Phewa (Fewa) lake which I had promised myself on the very first day I set eyes on the lake!
Pokhara is a tourist destination but it's calm, serene, friendly, beautiful and colourful. I loved every single minute of my Pokhara days!
And now to Chitwan! And wildlife!
