    Palais de l'Isle- the jail!

    There was a really old jail built on a tiny island in the river in the 1100's, I guess lot of people couldn't swim back then. It was also used as a mint for making coins- it looked like a kitchen with big cooking pots! And then it was also an important government office and law court. We liked exploring the rooms and stairs but the prison beds weren't very comfortable!Read more

    Linda - wow what a beautiful jail. It makes you want to do something bad! I would want to take my own mattress
