Day of rest and Bassano Del Grappa

Today we took a rest and planning day, and further explored the town we are staying in, Bassano Del Grappa.

We started our day with cappuccinos(fantastic as usual!) and then spent the bulk of the day working on finalizing our itinerary for the upcoming trip to the Dolomites.

In the evening we took a break to head into Bassano Del Grapa’s historic old town, and we found it totally charming! They have a beautiful bridge spanning the river running through town, and a piano recital was being hosted here, so the whole area was filled with music. There was also a group of older men dressed in theme wandering the streets and drinking(around 30-40 of them!) and their raucous chatter gave the town quite a vibe! Chelsea thought this group was a men’s club, and that the hats and shirts represented their chapter. It reminded Chris of his fraternity days 😂

After wandering town we couldn’t find a good restaurant for dinner, as many were closed due to it being a Sunday, so we opted to head home and Chelsea cooked up some fantastic ricotta gnocchi with a caprese salad. Afterwards, we called it a night, as tomorrow we celebrate Chris’ 34th birthday!Baca lagi
