    Mt. Arima wasn't the highest point in this area but it was actually Hinatazawanomine, it looked like a small hill compared to Mt. Arima but getting here was even more difficult with extremely steep ascents that required scrambling and the paths kept on changing from harsh inclines to treacherous descents. It was really scary and took a lot to just take a few steps down as it was all just gravel and the sharp broken trunks waiting below if I made a false move didn't make it easier. Around this point it really started to become both a physical and a mental battle. Having no one else around at this time proved to backfire a bit as it made me realize I would really truly be alone and there would be no one to help me if I messed up here so I had to keep going forward and make it before the last bus. Thankfully, I did make it and it was a bit of a relief seeing as I thought the worst was over. I was still rationing my food and drinks at this point but gave myself a nice snack reward for making it this far so far despite not even being halfway through the hike.Read more
