Mt. Otakayama

Wanting to sneak in one last hike before it gets too cold in winter, I ventured off back to old reliable Hanno. From Agano station, I went to a nearby restaurant and had the usual mountain vegetable soba. The hike started off near a cemetery and then into the woods. It was generally an easy hike with a steady incline. There was still some autumn colors in some trees but I made it up to the first peak of Mt. Otakayama which provided splendid views of the Hanno Alps.Read more
