The last day, despite not getting sleep for 2 days, I felt significantly better today than yesterday. First order of business was still the onsen. Grabbed some breakfast at the buffet and headed out around 8:15 AM.

It was snowing heavily today as I walked towards Kusatsu Ski Resort where I rented some snowshoes to do try out some hiking. It was a short trail but still beautiful, the snow was definitely thicker and deep and I was able to utilize the snowshoes properly. It was a fun experience but a tad bit disappointing with the overall length. Nevertheless, this meant I had time for another onsen.

My favorite one in the area was Ohtaki no Yu just because of the multiple baths. Bathing outdoors with falling snow was so calming and the water wasn't that hot too. I tried some himokawa udon for lunch which was the first time I've encountered them too, these flat noodles that were pretty hard to eat with chopsticks but it got me quite full. With everything I wanted to do for the 3 days accomplished, I went back to the hotel satisfied and ready to go home.
