A Fairbanks Day

We did the Hampton Inn Breakfast thing, then got a taxi to the visitor Center. The Morris Thompson Visitor and Cultural Center is well worth the visit. There is good background on the different Native Alaskan tribes.

We went for a walk through the Antler Arch, and in to town. Lunch was at The Crepery- quite good. We saw the Lend/Lease memorial. We also saw the start of the Yukon Quest dogsled race. I "bought a bootie" to donate to a team.

We went back to the hotel by Uber, and passed by the FarthestNorth Girl Scout Council. Julianna and I headed to the airport via shuttle to pick up a rental car. Dinner was at the Pump House- reindeer sausage and clams, reindeer meatballs, salmon glazed with maple and blueberries, and fried fish & chips.
