My first time in the Philippines, and a MacArthur -worthy "I have returned" from Wayne. We did a ship's "Highlights" excursion. The first stop was a WWII Museum of multinational artifacts from The Big One. Interesting that there were German, Italian, and Japanese items in addition to those from the Allied forces.

Iwahig Penal Colony-a very unusual facility. I have no pictures, because using cell phones was prohibited. Residents in the minimum and medium security levels have freedom to move throughout the compound - raising crops, fishing, learning woodworking and other skills did dances including a coconut rhythm dance, another native dance, Tinikling, and a line dance that looked like fun- they invited us to join, but I was feeling uncoordinated. There were items made by the residents for sale, and I did a bit of spending. All the money goes to the residents and their families.
