Pulled over on the side of Forest Road 270-1c for a free and quiet night of dispersed camping. We did hear a pack of howling coyote and an owl last night. We also met a rancher driving on the roads with his ATV, checking on his cattle.

The road to Mt Rushmore is mostly through the national forest.Read more
