Wir fahren durch bis nach Eceabat, dass wohl noch einer der letzten Zipfel des europäischen Türkeis ist. In zwei Tagen wollen wir nach çanakkale übersetzten. Das Café Boomerang wird als Alternativ aber guter Platz zum Stehen angeboten. Duschen und WC benutzen könne man, wenn man Mesut mal ein Bier zahle. Schön ist es gelegen, an einer schmalen Stelle der Dardanellen, wo Zig Schiffe durchfahren um ins Marmara Meer zu gelangen und später ins Schwarze Meer.
Bernd ist happy, stellt die Liegestühle auf und beobachtet Schiffe. Flüssiggastanker, Auto- und Getreidetransporter, Kreuzschiffe, alles Mögliche fährt im Verlauf der Tage vorbei manchmal auch zweimal, einmal beladen und einmal entladen.
Die Temperaturen in Ecebat sind auch angenehm und wir nehmen sogar den Grill raus, um zu kochen.

Einziger Wermutstropfen so ne Deutsche, die da neben dem Parkplatz ein Haus gekauft hat und ihren dicken Mercedes extra so parkiert, dass die Wohnmobile nicht auf den Platz fahren können.Read more

Photo 1 - Road stop gozleme with cheese, spinach and spiced potato. It was a bit of a juggle on the thought as it was so hot!

Crossing at the Dardanelles to Canakkale

Left the scenes of WW1 to travel to Çanakkale and our hotel for the night. 40 minute bus ride and a 30 minute ferry ride brings us to our hotel. Interesting WW1 display at the ferry dock. We eat dinner and everyone crashes. First time I’ve had red wine served colder than a white. Huh?Read more
Traveler Amazing! More historic sites than I ever remember from my history classes. Those couple of pictures from the memorial really show them in the trenches.
