Ran into a rain storm in Albany. Took shelter under an overpass and waited out the rain. Complete with Porta potties, skulls, and dad making friends.

Illinois to Missouri. Crossed the Mississippi- I'm always impressed with its size. Farmland into the Ozarks and their rolling hills. Stopped for the night in Springfield, MO.
Day #9 MO --> KS

Day #9: Missouri --> Kansas. Farmland gave way to ranchland, then tall grass prarie. Broke 100 today. Rural mail carriers and controlled burns are certainly different from home!
