Leaving the continent again, as the Dutch coast glides beneath me and behind me, once again on my way to the USA. It's cloudy but I know a dear friend who is on the southern coast of England, and I wave at her from the plane knowing that I'm just about flying over. She waved back, what a beautiful connection.

United's routing on a lower cost mileage ticket is rather convoluted. This time it comes out really well because I have 6 hours in Dulles, and that's enough for Eric, my great Camino friend, to pick me up and bring me to his house for dinner to meet Judith and his neighbor Mike and his wife. It's really great to see Eric again because we've had so many deeply personal conversations, and we're able to catch back up. We share so much also through these Penguins.
