Makarska

I snuck out of the hostel early to go hike on the trails of the Marlan peninsula.

The beaches south of Split are extremely well done and remind me of the French Riviera, they are absolutely just as nice but the water is clear and cleaner.

The coastline is continuously built up and there are restaurants and managed beaches all along. The road is mostly small but every once in awhile my map will send me on a mountain bike trail ride along the coast. Once the trail disappeared and I bushwhacked resulting in flat tires.

Makarska is a nice small city with all the tourist amenities you could want and yet it doesn't feel overrun, at least in June.Læs mere
