Visiting Oliver at UND

It's aviation family weekend and the parents get to fly with the kids who are now full-on pilots. I'm very much looking forward to it.

It was everything you could hope for, good ceilings some clouds a good bit of wind and a very nice CFI on board because of the anticipated crosswind component. A very fun flight with Oliver, he is very proficient at flying these Archer airplanes, it's really great to see how fluid his cockpit management is.

After the flight we went to a kickball game, in which theater shoptech was playing the actors. Great fun. I ended up playing with the actors team for an inning.

Oliver's 21st birthday is coming up soon and I took advantage of being here to have a birthday lunch with him at the Blue Moose. Back to the theatre again for another show. It's been a great day and I'm glad to see how well he is doing.

Sunday morning we went to the bingo brunch put on by the NGPA as their family weekend benefit event. We won really nice leather Delta coasters.Read more
